Welcome to my website

Hello!  I am Robert Key, Branch Manager at the Albuquerque location.  When purchasing or refinancing a home, I will fully educate you on the process and communicate effectively with you to take the “mystery” out of the mortgage process.  My business is 99% referral based from past clients, realtors and builders in New Mexico.

I started my career in commercial banking in Dallas in 1987 and moved to Albuquerque in 1993 with a career change into mortgage lending.  I operated Ameriplex Mortgage in Albuquerque that sold to a local bank in 2010.  In 2015, HomeTrust Mortgage purchased Ameriplex and combined their existing office, where I became the Albuquerque Branch Manager.

I graduated from Baylor University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate and received an MBA in finance from Rutgers University in 1987.  I was a Director and Past President of the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association.  My wife, Nancy, and I have two adult children and in our spare time we enjoy traveling and skiing and hiking in New Mexico and internationally.
